The Grand Patron of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has deployed 26 vehicles to Gombe State to boost grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Mr Ekpemupolo, represented by the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, Kestin Pondi, unveiled the vehicles during the inauguration of the Gombe State chapter of the movement.

The movement disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

He said the vehicles and other campaign materials would facilitate a door-to-door campaign strategy across communities, local government areas, religious institutions and other public spaces in the state.

“The movement will mobilise voters for President Tinubu through a grassroots campaign strategy covering communities, local government areas, religious institutions and other public spaces,” he said.

He said the initiative was designed to communicate the achievements of the Tinubu administration to Nigerians and to secure a second term for the president in 2027.

Mr Ekpemupolo said the movement would work with the Gombe State Government to identify communities and locations where campaign activities would be most effective.

He commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for infrastructure development in the state, particularly road construction, saying the projects reflected the benefits of funds made available to states following the removal of petrol subsidy.

He said the governor had informed him that the state was working to connect communities across its 11 local government areas and other development areas through road projects, noting that such developments showed how state governments could deploy available resources to improve living conditions.

He urged the governor to provide the movement with the necessary guidance and enabling environment to achieve its mobilisation objectives.

“Your Excellency, today we came into Gombe to inaugurate the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement chapter of Gombe State and also to bring vehicles that will support the message,” Mr Ekpemupolo said, adding that the vehicles would help the movement reach voters across the state.

In his remarks, Mr Yahaya thanked Mr Ekpemupolo and the movement for providing the vehicles and other campaign materials to support the mobilisation effort.

The governor declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was united and committed to securing Mr Tinubu’s re-election, expressing confidence that the party would win across the state.

He said the president’s support had facilitated major development projects in Gombe, including road construction and agricultural initiatives.

Mr Yahaya disclosed that the state was implementing an agricultural development programme targeting farmers, herders, processors and young people engaged in agricultural activities, with support from a N130 billion grant approved by President Tinubu.

He said the removal of petrol subsidy, although painful, had created fiscal space for governments to mobilise resources for development.

Mr Yahaya, who is chairman of the Northern Governors’ Forum, said the APC enjoys substantial support among governors in the region and expressed confidence in Mr Tinubu’s return to office in 2027.

Earlier, the National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sunday Asuku, urged Gombe residents to support Mr Tinubu, describing his administration as committed to development across the country’s six geopolitical zones.

Mr Asuku cited the establishment of development commissions for different regions and the restoration of local government financial autonomy as evidence of the president’s commitment to inclusive governance.

He argued that the administration’s policies had created opportunities for states to improve infrastructure and provide services to residents, and urged voters not to be swayed by opposition parties.
