The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursed the sum of N2.23 trillion to the three tiers of government in March 2026 from the total revenue generated in February 2026.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) disclosed this in its ‘March 2026 FAAC Allocation Report’ released on Tuesday.
The statistics office said the amount disbursed was N1.56 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account and N668.45 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT).
The bureau said the allocations to the three tiers of government for March 2026 were Federal Government with a total of N675.09 billion States with a total of N651.53 billion, and Local Governments with a total of N456.47 billion.

It said the sum of N110.95 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13 per cent derivation fund.
The revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received N53.48 billion and N23.83 billion, respectively, as cost of revenue collections.
Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) revealed that N519.01 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, N11.64 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, N5.82 billion as stabilisation fund, N19.55 billion for the development of natural resources, and N11.42 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
