President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday purchased the All Progressives Congress (APC) expression of interest and nomination forms to run for a second and final term in 2027.
The lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke, who picked the forms on behalf of hundreds of support groups on APC platform said the intention was to pool resources and mobilise massive support for Mr Tinubu to further consolidate on his measurable achievements across critical sectors.
With the forms pickup, Mr Tinubu’s re-election campaign has now entered its early operational phase, setting the stage for intensified political activities ahead of the 2027 election.

On Monday, APC released its revised timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections.
Under the revised plan, the sale of nomination forms is scheduled to take place from 25 April to 2 May 2026, while the submission deadline for completed forms has been fixed for 4 May 2026.
Screening of aspirants will follow from 6 – 9 May 2026, covering contestants for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential tickets in phases.

Primary elections are set to begin on 15 May 2026, starting with the House of Representatives, and will proceed through the Senate, State Houses of Assembly, governorship, and presidential contests, concluding on 23 May 2026.

Directives on sale of forms
The party pegs total presidential form at N100 million.
“Presidential: N30,000,000 for Expression of Interest and N70,000,000 nomination making it a total of N100,000,000,” the party said.
It said female aspirants, youth and physically challenged aspirants are to pay for the expression of interest and 50 per cent of the prescribed nomination fees for each position.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for Saturday, 16 January 2027, while governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections will be held on Saturday, 6 February 2027.
Campaign activities are expected to officially begin on 19 August 2026 for presidential and National Assembly elections, while governorship and state assembly campaigns will commence on 9 September 2026.
