The Ogun State Police Command has addressed reports alleging that one of Nigeria’s popular thespians and skit makers, Samuel Perry, with stage name Broda Shaggi was shot within Ogun State.
The Police Public Relations Officer of Ogun State Command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, in a statement on Friday, made this known in reaction to reports alleging that Broda Shaggi was shot while filming a comedy skit under the Sango-Ota bridge on Sunday afternoon.
In its reaction on Friday, the Command said it can not confirm that such an incident occurred anywhere within its jurisdiction.
Additionally, it said no such incident has been reported at any Police formation across the state.

“In line with the Command’s commitment to professionalism and transparency, investigations have been initiated to ascertain the facts and verify the claim,” it said.
The Command said it is actively carrying out necessary investigations to determine the true circumstances of the report.
“Citizens are advised to rely solely on official Police communication while the investigation runs its course.
“The Command remains committed to the safety of all residents and the maintenance of law and order across Ogun State,” the statement said.
