The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of N9.62 trillion to the federal government, states and local governments between September and November 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The bureau said this in its “FAAC allocation reports for September to November 2025” released on Tuesday.
According to the statistics office, FAAC disbursed N3.64 trillion to the three tiers of government in September 2025, N3.05 trillion in October 2025 and N2.93 trillion in November 2025, respectively.
The NBS noted that in November 2025, the FAAC disbursed the sum of N2.93 trillion to the three tiers of government from the total revenue generated in October 2025.
The amount disbursed, according to NBS, comprised: N2.16 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account, N49.87 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and N719.83 billion from Value Added Tax.
It added that the allocations to the three tiers of government for November 2025 include the federal government N758.41 billion, states N689.12 billion, and the local governments N505.80 billion.
According to the NBS, the sum of N141.39 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13 per cent derivation fund, while revenue generating agencies comprising Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), and Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) received N29.64 billion, N50.71 billion, and N34.92 billion respectively, as cost of revenue collections.
The breakdown of revenue allocation distribution, as revealed in the report, shows that N591.99 billion was disbursed to the federal government consolidated revenue account, while N12.35 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, and N6.18 billion as stabilisation fund. N20.75 billion for the development of natural resources, and N19.17 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
The report also revealed that the FAAC disbursed the sum of N3.05 trillion to the three tiers of government in October 2025 from the total revenue generated in September 2025.
The amount disbursed comprised: N2.13 trillion recorded from the Statutory Account, N53.84 billion from EMTL and N872.63 billion from Value Added Tax.
October allocations
It stated that the allocations to the three tiers of government for October 2025 were as follows: the federal government, N711.31 billion; the states, N727.17 billion; and the local governments, N529.95 billion.
NBS stated that the sum of N134.96 billion was allocated to the oil-producing states from the 13 per cent derivation fund. Meanwhile, the revenue-generating agencies, comprising NCS, FIRS, and NUPRC, received N27.91 billion, N58.56 billion, and N29.68 billion, respectively, as the cost of revenue collections.
Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the federal government revealed that N549.24 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, N11.04 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, N5.52 billion as stabilisation fund, N18.55 billion for the development of natural resources, and N19.32 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
Meanwhile, it said the committee disbursed the sum of N3.64 trillion to the three tiers of government in September 2025 from the total revenue generated in August 2025.
According to the report, the amount disbursed includes N2.84 trillion recorded from the statutory account, N41.28 billion from exchange gain, N33.68 billion from EMTL, and N722.62 billion from Value Added Tax.
The allocations to the three tiers of government for September 2025 were: federal government with a total of N810.05 billion, states with a total of N709.83 billion, and local governments with a total of N522.23 billion.
The sum of N183.01 billion was shared among the oil-producing states from the 13 per cent derivation fund, while the revenue-generating agencies comprising NCS, FIRS, and NUPRC received N25.46 billion, N69.57 billion, and N29.81 billion respectively, as cost of revenue collections.
Further breakdown of revenue allocation distribution to the federal government revealed that N639.36 billion was disbursed to the FGN consolidated revenue account, N13.37 billion was received as a share of derivation and ecology, N6.68 billion as stabilisation fund, N22.46 billion for the development of natural resources, and N20.06 billion to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)- Abuja.
