Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) on Tuesday warned of an increase in impersonation and fraudulent activities by individuals falsely claiming to represent the company, its leadership, and members of the Dangote family.

In a statement signed by its management, the company said these impostors are seeking to defraud unsuspecting members of the public through fake investment offers, business proposals, charity solicitations, employment promises, and other deceptive schemes.

DIL clarified that neither the company nor its Group President, Aliko Dangote, nor any executive or member of the Dangote family solicit funds, investments, contracts, or personal information from individuals via social media platforms.

“Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has become aware of increasing cases of impersonation and fraudulent activities carried out by individuals falsely claiming to represent the company, its leadership, and members of the Dangote family.
