The Ogun State Police Command has arrested four police officers seen in a video circulating on social media in the company of a civilian in the Ijagba-Ota area of the state.
The command said disciplinary procedures have been initiated to establish the facts and determine the appropriate action.
In a statement on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has directed a thorough and impartial investigation into the incident.
Mr Ojajuni said the investigation underscores the command’s commitment to professional discipline, accountability and respect for the rights of citizens.
He assured the public that the matter is receiving the necessary attention and that any proven misconduct will be addressed in accordance with established regulations.
