The Cross River State Journalists Forum (CROSSJOF) in Abuja has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Rev. Fr. Victor Achima Owan-Enoh.
Fr Victor, the younger brother of John Owan-Enoh, Minister of State in the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment died on Sunday morning in Abuja.
CROSSJOF in a condolence message, jointly by its chairperson Francisca Ogar and the Secretary, Raphael Ekpang, described Fr Victor’s death as a painful loss to the Owan-Enoh family, the state, the Catholic Church in Nigeria, and the larger Christian community.
The forum noted that Fr Victor lived a life of service, devotion, and commitment to the work of God and humanity, stating that his passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him and benefited from his priestly ministry.
The forum extended its heartfelt sympathies to Mr Owan-Enoh, the entire family, and the aged mother of the deceased, praying for God’s comfort and strength during this difficult time.

“May the soul of Rev Fr Victor Achima Owan-Enoh rest in perfect peace,” the forum said.
The news of Fr Victor Achima Owan-Enoh’s passing spread quickly on Sunday, sending shockwaves across Etung, the Cross River Catholic Diocese, and among those who knew him.
Fr Victor Owan Enoh, according to a report, was ordained into the Catholic priesthood in 1996, marking a historic moment for Etung Local Government Area.
The report said his ordination was a momentous occasion, marking a significant milestone for his community. It represented a long-awaited breakthrough in indigenous representation within the Catholic clergy.
