The Transmission Company of Nigeria, (TCN) has restored power on the Benin-Omotosho 330kV transmission line, ending an eight-day outage that limited power supply to parts of Lagos and other states in the country.
The TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, in a statement on Friday, said the line was restored at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday.
She said the restoration followed an outage on the line on 25 June, caused by detachment of conductors.

Ms Mbah explained that the TCN engineers have since worked to restore and complete maintenance on the affected sections of the transmission line.
“With the line now back in service, the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC), Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (Eko DisCo) and Ikeja Electric will be able to off-take more power to supply their customers in their franchise areas.
“TCN apologises for the inconvenience caused by the outage and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all affected during the period,” she said.
