The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced a planned power outage at its Gwagwalada 132/33kV transmission substation on Monday.
In a notice on Sunday, the company said the urgent maintenance exercise is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on 5 October.
According to TCN, the exercise will enable its maintenance crew to connect an earthing reactor to a 60MVA 132/33kV power transformer.

“Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take power to its customers at Watson Door, Gwagwalada, and adjoining areas for two hours,” TCN said.
The company apologised for any inconvenience the maintenance may cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
