Police declare three wanted for cyberbullying, cyberstalking

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has placed three individuals on its wanted list over alleged involvement in cyberbullying and cyberstalking, according to an official Gazette Bulletin issued from Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The bulletin, authorised by the Inspector-General of Police and released on Wednesday, states that the suspects are being sought by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Interpol Section, following investigations into offences linked to online harassment and related cyber activities.

The suspects

Nnomere Innocent Odinakachi, a 66-year-old man whose last known address is recorded as Vietnam. According to police records, he is fair-complexioned with black eyes and a square-shaped face. His occupation remains unknown.

Egbuchere Fortunate Chieme, 43, is identified as a businessman with a last known address in Houston, Texas, United States. Authorities say he is being tracked for similar cyber-related offences and is believed to have maintained links across multiple jurisdictions.

Meana Ubanna Ifunanya Chukwu, a 39-year-old female, is also wanted in connection with the case. Her last known locations span Imo State in Nigeria and Canada, suggesting possible cross-border movements relevant to ongoing investigations.

According to the police, the offences under investigation border on cyberbullying and cyberstalking, both of which have become increasing concerns amid the growing use of digital platforms for communication and social interaction.

The police called on members of the public with useful information on the whereabouts of the suspects to report to the nearest police station or contact law enforcement authorities.

The police assured that all information provided would be treated with strict confidentiality.

The Nigeria Police Force reiterated its commitment to tackling cybercrime and ensuring that individuals who misuse digital platforms to harass, threaten, or intimidate others are brought to justice.
