The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) said its Delta Sub-Region will undertake the installation of a 132kV bus coupler circuit breaker and the rehabilitation of five isolators on the main bus bar at the Delta 132/33kV transmission substation.

The TCN General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

Ms Mbah said this exercise will take place daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., from 2nd to 4th July.

During this period, she said the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity for onward distribution to customers in Effurun, Warri, Sapele, Osubi, PTI, PMSL, Enerhen, Refinery I, and Refinery II.

In addition, she said the 33kV feeders supplied from the Delta 132/33kV transmission substation will be out of service for the duration of the maintenance, affecting Isoko/Kwale, Otovwodo/Patani, Ughelli/Shell, Agbarho/Eku, Aladja, Imoniyame, and Beta Glass.

“TCN apologises for any inconvenience this exercise will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas and assures the public that power supply will be restored daily by 5 p.m. at the close of each day’s work,” she said.
